• Served as board member of The Alliance from 1999 - 2001.

• Served as board member of the Northeast Mississippi Museum Association from 2000 - 2004.

• During interim change period for the Downtown Association, volunteered as temporary manager, and helped develop the current Main Street Association.

• While volunteering as temporary Main Street Association director, managed the Corinth Christmas Parade, the Slugburger Festival, and developed a new Arts and Crafts Festival around the court square in conjunction with the Coca-Cola Classic 10K Run.

• While president of Main Street Association, managed funding, purchase, and installation of new street signs throughout the downtown area. In addition to, researching and preparing a $1.5 million dollar grant application for the City of Corinth to the Mississippi Department of Transportation for milling and paving center city streets, repairing sidewalks, improved sewers and moving power/telephone lines underground. During project, worked closely with the City of Corinth Planner and Project Manager, ACE Power, TVA, Corinth Gas and Water, Cook Cogins, a private architectural firm and the Mayors Office.

For eleven years, served as president and general manager ( a volunteer position) of the Corinth Symphony Orchestra. (1996 - 2007) During time, the Corinth Symphony Orchestra gained state notoriety. Mississippi Public Broadcasting played the Corinth Symphony Orchestra Christmas Concert on Christmas Eve in place of music from the Regan Center in Washington, DC. Also provided free family entertainment by adding summer concert series in 2002. Capping with a Fourth of July Concert with fireworks, which was attended by over 5000 people. The Symphony often feature the Queen of Beale Street, Ruby Wilson.

• Volunteered from 1995 - 1997 as a Docent at the Veranda Curlee House.

• As a registered Republican, volunteered on Haley Barbour’s campaign for Governor. Collected over 800 names on petition for Voter ID in Alcorn County,

• Currently serving as Mississippi State Co-ordinator for Smart Girl Politics (a conservative national women’s organization) and active member of the Mississippi Tea Party, and the Alcorn County Patriots.

• Charlotte was born in a small town on the Susquehana River in Lancaster County, Penn. Her father worked as a blacksmith/welder, while her mother enjoyed working as an elementary school teacher.

• Charlotte was educated in a religious elementary school and a Women’s Academy. She earned a degree in Marketing and Commercial Art from the York Academy of Art, a degree in Marketing and Business from Catholic University, and Advanced Management Studies from Harvard University School of Business.

• Before moving to Mississippi, Charlotte was employed for the Marriott Corporation in various public relations, customer service and marketing management postions. She later advanced to Marriot area manager, where she was responsible for operations in five states.

• Charlotte was widowed in 1986 and from that previous marriage, she has three childron. Lisa Brandt (married to Rick Lisko), J. William Brandt Jr., and Karen Brandt (married to Ed Burke). Charlotte is blessed with three grandchildren - Cory Brandt (18), Kyle Brandt (14) and Timmothy Burke (11). Charlotte's newphew, Scott Stephenson, moved to Corinth in 1995. Charlotte looks at Scott's children as her own - T.J. Spencer, Brenna Stephenson, and Seth Stephenson. Charlotte mother is Betty Jo Stephenson.

• While working for Marriott, Charlotte met and fell in love with her husband, accomplished Chef Luke Doehner. The couple soon moved home - to Mississippi. In 1994, the couple purchased The Generals' Quarters Inn on Fillmore Street in downtown Corinth. In 1995, Luke and Charlotte were married on the grounds of their Inn.

• Luke and Charlotte have opened the doors of The Generals Quarters Inn to families in need. Often housing victims of fires or other disasters in Corinth and Alcorn County. During Hurranince Katrini, Luke and Charlotte housed four different families until they were able to return to their homes.
