Listen to Charlotte's Radio Campaign

The City of Corinth has been the recipient of more Federal Grant money within the last five years than any other small city in Mississippi. This money has allowed our current administration to provide services and repairs to maintain the beauty of our city and the serviceability of our roads. With Federal debt at an all-time high, we need to be prepared to replace this money when it becomes unavailable. This must be done without raising the taxes of our citizens. This plan needs to be in place very quickly.

We need development that will preserve our history and values but not stifle entrepreneurship. We need new job opportunities and new businesses to ensure our continued growth. In the future, our city government needs to provide incentives to encourage new business and support existing businesses, and reulations that deter this growth need to be examined and changes proposed if necessary.

It is the responsibility of the city government to provide the infrastructure needed for a viable and growing community. As a team the board of alderman and the mayor need to work with all utilities and services to ensure that they meet the current needs. There must be a plan in place to ensure sufficient supply as our needs increase. Important public service issues include the city’s waste water and drainage problems which need major attention.

We must ensure we have a strong and experienced police and fire department in place. To accomplish this we need to evaluate and reduce turnover through whatever measures are necessary.
